Aurora talks to Scarlett Scott
What inspires you to write? What does your writing space look like?
People inspire me, with all their complexities and flaws. I find the human mind endlessly fascinating. I love a challenge, and I love a happily ever after. My writing space is a desk filled with research books, with a cozy fireplace alongside it.
Please tell us a little about your books.
I write historical and contemporary romance that’s steamy and often edgy, with a side of humor thrown into the mix. My heroes are alpha and swoonworthy, my heroines smart and independent. Whether you pick up one of my historical romances or a contemporary, they are guaranteed to be steamy and angsty. I also have a tendency to push the envelope.
What do you like to do to unwind?
I love to read romance novels—it’s the best relaxation money can buy, complete with a happily ever after. I also love spending time with my family and traveling when I can. The beach is my happy place.
What would be your message to your readers?
I’m endlessly grateful to my readers for welcoming my words, and for loving my characters as much as I do. The time they spend reading my books is a great and humbling gift.
